Renewal Reminders

When selling a service or labor item that needs recurring billing, or for licensing orders with renewal dates, there are two ways to set a reminder.
- On the “Renewal Date” field on the sales order document
- Creating a task from the document
1) Sales Order
When generating an order for items that qualify for a renewal schedule, simply add the “Renewal Date” in the header of the document. Two events can be triggered. First the system will automatically notify you by sending a message to your ChannelOnline inbox (in the upper right by your name). Or second, if enabled by your administrator, an email can be generated form System Emails to be sent to your email inbox.
2) Task
When selling a service or labor item that needs recurring billing, or for licensing orders with renewal dates, create a task from the document. On that task, place a description of the action and set the due date for the next billing/renewal event. Setting a reminder for a few days prior to the due date will send a notification to contact the customer. The reminder feature is found in the header section of the edit task window.
