Can I run an A/B test?
There are many factors to be assessed to determine if an A/B test would be relevant or possible for your goals and your website.
Prerequisites
If you don't meet all of the prerequisites, then the A/B test will not work:
- You must have the product page scripts installed across all products and categories on your site.
- If you call the script only on select products or manufacturers, then the test will be invalid.
- Your permission and ability to track the Add to Cart on your site.
- Typically, A/B tests are to test whether the content will increase sales.
- If you cannot track the sales, there is no reason to run an A/B test.
- Provide your site traffic numbers to determine the A/B test period.
- The duration of the test will depend on how much traffic your site has. A site that has 2 million hits per day can have a much shorter A/B test period than a site that only gets 5K hits per day.
- 1WorldSync can help determine the minimum duration needed based on your traffic patterns.
- You agree to allow 1WorldSync to conduct a whitepaper analysis.

How much information can I add to the Co-branded fields?
Each co-brandable asset is designed to allow for adequate space for your company information. However, if the information entered is excessively long the text will wrap to the next line and may cover other data.
We recommend that you review the customized content before sending it to print. If you find that your information does not appear as expected you can try to abbreviate the length or use the 'Contact' link in the footer of the content menu to report the problem.

Do your email systems or services have virus protection enabled?
Yes.
Yes.
What happens if the service goes down? Will it affect my website?
The service will not provide any performance or visual impact to your site when the service is not available. The syndication service is a low risk implementation so that if the servers or services were to ever go down, the service will fail gracefully (quietly) and simply return no content. It will not affect the appearance of your website. No Red X's or broken images will be shown. No errors will become visible to the end-customer or client.

Is there any code maintenance required?
No. The code snippet you embed into your website calls the code that resides on our servers. Any bug fixes, improvements and new features will automatically be passed to your site requiring no maintenance. The only time that may require a change is when a particular program requires additional information passed real-time for dynamic content.

I don’t want to install 3rd party JavaScript on my website; do you have another method of integration?
Digital Campaigns can only be installed via JavaScript at this time. This approach provides the added benefit of a one-time code implementation which reduces the need to implement new code for each new campaign. This helps save time and money.

What does ‘syndication’ mean?
The term web 'syndication' describes content shared by two (or more) websites. The host website (Content Menu) provides content via an API code "call". Once a content API call is placed in a website's existing HTML code, the piece of content (banner, microsite, etc) will appear on the website. As long as the API call remains on a website, the syndicated content updates automatically. Using syndication allows product companies to share their marketing resources with their channel partners.

Is the Manufacturer Inline content SEO Indexable?
Yes, depending on the Search Engine crawler. See explanations below:
- MOST SE crawlers do not have the ability to crawl JavaScript delivered content. We have evidence that Google at one point was successfully indexing our content.
- SEO rankings don't always rely on content alone. It also depends on your Domain Authority. For example: walmart.com will always be ranked higher than most websites even if the content is exactly the same.
- Both your page content and the syndicated content are indexed.

Does adding your script put my website or CMS at risk?
Any system including your own website is always at risk of being hacked when the proper precautions are not taken. CNET uses the similar content delivery approach as other 3rd party scripts such as Google Analytics, Google AdSense, Bing Ads, Social sharing scripts like AddThis, Facebook Like buttons or Twitter. The key differences are:
- We are not Open Source - our primary script delivery mechanism is proprietary and doesn't use open source code to deliver the content. Our CMS for the content ingestion is proprietary and not affected by common CMS vulnerabilities.
- Azure Built-in Security - The syndication platform that CNET Content Solutions uses is built on top of the 's Azure Cloud which contains many security services and layers.
- ISO27001 Certified
- SAS 70 Level II Certified
- Built in Virus Protection

We implement the same security standards and protection that is used in all of the top web properties.
- Proven track record - Ever since our platform was launched 5 years ago, we have never had an incident.
Some of the top reasons for hacked websites are:
- Personal computer security - weak passwords, untrusted browser plugins, sending confidential information unencrypted, etc.
- 3rd party Open Source software - Content management systems, such as Joomla and Drupal, can easily be targeted by the use of untested and insecure plugins and widgets.
- CMS Vulnerabilities - Some of the most popular CMS platforms such as Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal, Magento are all vulnerable to security exploits. Keeping your core application and modules up-to-date with the latest security patches are critical.
- Indirect Server attacks - If you are hosting your website on a shared server, you increase the risk of being hacked as intruders can access the server through other unprotected websites being hosted on the same server.

Does your script and service support HTTPS or SSL?
Yes. Our scripts automatically detect whether content should served as HTTP or securely with HTTPS. If you are experiencing issues behind HTTPS where content is not appearing or you are receiving secured content errors, this means you are using an outdated script or are hard-coding the script's protocol. Write urls as "//ws.cnetcontent.com" instead of "http://ws.cnetcontent.com"

Troubleshooting
Products shown in the Recommends programs are outdated
If the incorrect products are shown in the logo recommendations program, check to make sure that your catalog is up to date.
- Go to My Catalogs tab
- Open your catalog and click view products
- If you have more than one catalog, check each catalog for the outdated skus.
- Once you are in the product list you can search by manufacturer name or manufacturer part number.
- You can delete the outdated products that you do not want to show.
To avoid manually updating the products in the future, it is highly recommended that you have your catalogs updated automatically by downloading from a FTP server.

I am receiving warnings about page contains secure and non-secure items.
This is a common error that occurs when some element on a secure web page (one that is loaded with https:// in the address bar) is not being loaded from a secure source. This usually occurs with images, frames, iframes, Flash, and JavaScripts. If you added the ContentCast JavaScript on secured pages that are served using https, make sure your call to the ContentCast JavaScript code is also using the https protocol.

Flash is overlapping the Lightbox.
You will need to edit the pages that contain the flash objects and add the following code between the embed and object tags:
Add the following code after the Object tag:
<param name="WMode" value="transparent"></param>
And add the following code in the Embed tag:
wmode="transparent"
It should look something like this:
<object width="300" height="220"> <param name="WMode" value="transparent"></param> <param name="movie" value="http://www.flash.com"></param> <param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param> <param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param> <embed wmode="transparent" src="http://www.flash.com" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="300"> height="220"></embed> </object>

The Lightbox doesn’t appear on the page.
If you are using IE and you click on a campaign banner at the bottom of a scrollable page, you may not see the lightbox unless you scroll back up to the top of the page.
This is browser specific issue due to the page not including a DOCTYPE declaration in the HTML. If a DOCTYPE is not declared, the lightbox function is unable to determine where to position itself within the browser.
Solution:
Add the appropriate DOCTYPE tag as the first element within your site.
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd">
