The DataSource 6.1 Release encompasses three new features that are available now for CNET Content Solutions’ customers:

• Manufacturer and Software Logos
• Catalog Expansion
• ContentConnector 2.2 Release

Manufacturer and Software Logos

The CNET Content Solutions team has added manufacturer and software logo images, which are available for use when products do not have a product image.

Manufacturer Logos

Manufacturer logos are available as a component within DataSource digital content tables (new media type 17). Coverage includes the top manufacturers with
either the most popular products or the highest number of SKUs without product images. The coverage will be increased further within the next several
months. Manufacturer logo images are available in resolutions of up to 400×300. They are available at no additional charge to CNET DataSource customers,
but do require activation. To receive them in your download.zip, please contact the Customer Support team here.

Software Logos

Software logos are either software product icons or licensing program logos. They are being added for those software products that do not have real product
images. Software logos will automatically be distributed to your download.zip file via the standard media type 15 of DataSource digital content tables.
Software product images are available in resolutions of up to 400×300 and are available to CNET DataSource customers at no additional charge.

Catalog Expansion

The CNET team has expanded catalog coverage into several new segments, including:

• Healthcare IT – Medical computer carts, medical computer cabinets, and medical monitors
• Digital Signage – Digital signage displays, digital signage players, and their accessories
• Vehicle Computers – Vehicle-mount tablets, rugged portable computers, vehicle mounting kits, and accessories

Our ongoing category and catalog expansion effort is driven by customer feedback and customer catalog analysis. Receiving first-hand feedback from our

ContentConnector 2.2

CNET ContentConnector is a Java-based application that automates SKU requests and DataSource download.zip feeds integration.

The ContentConnector manages SKU requests (for CatalogBase accounts), data retrieval, database creation, and database maintenance processes of your DataSource
database.

ContentConnector 2.2 includes the following features:

• PostgreSQL support – Support for PostgreSQL databases in addition to MySQL, Oracle, and MS SQL Server
• SFTP support – Enables downloading of the download.zip file via SFTP by specifying the new option in your configuration file
• Alternative Searchable Attributes support – Enables external files (files that are not included in download.zip, such as the
  Alternative Searchable Attributes) to be loaded and inserted into DataSource tables

Note: Alternative Searchable Attributes are intended to simplify and improve integration of CNET’s regular searchable attributes delivered to our
customers in the cds_Atr table. The Alternative Searchable Attributes feed is available to all DataSource customers at no additional cost via the Customer
Extranet Site (login credentials are required).
