Why is content on the Partners product page different from what I submitted to 1WorldSync?
There can be various reason why this happens. Below are a some examples:
-
The content you are seeing on the partners website, is not 1WorldSync's content and thus does not match what we have in the PartnerAccess portal.
-
1WorldSync's structured content data model. 1WorldSync creates structured product content which is normalized for data consistency across all products in a particular category. Product specs, description, marketing text and feature bullets are created based on specified formulas and rules and thus the finalized content may come out different and not verbatim to how the Manufacturer provides.

Why does my SKUs status say "Not Available"?
"Not available” means that 1WorldSync does not have enough information in order to complete the build of this products content.

Content will not be disseminated out to the Channel Partners until the necessary information is provided to 1WorldSync and the SKUs status moves from "Not available" to "Released".

What does “Out of Scope” mean?
“Out of Scope” is a SKU reject status meaning 1WorldSync does not produce SKUs of this kind. Currently, 1WorldSync covers a broad range of IT products, Consumer Electronics, Home Appliances, Office Supplies, Musical Instruments, Beauty, Healthcare products and many more. There are many products that fall out of 1WorldSync' coverage. For example, we do not cover sophisticated mainframes, high end and industrial computers. Commercial and industrial offset presses, including digital ones. Film and digital photo-lab equipment and supplements. On the Home Appliances equipment side, we do not do plumbing, aero beds, ironing boards, drying racks and stations, etc. We also do not cover professional GPS and provider’s equipment. Virtually any kind of accessories for out-of-scope products are also not in 1WorldSync Content Solutions' scope. All requests for such products are being rejected as “out of scope.”

Why cant I change 1WorldSync’s standardized product description?
1WorldSync’s Standardized Product Descriptions are generated by key technical attributes and are not a free flow text field.
However, if there is incorrect information within the description, you may submit a correction by "editing" the main or extended spec field from where this information is being pulled from.
Note that the requested update must comply with 1WorldSync's product data model rules or the request will be declined.

Why did you change my Marketing description? I like it the way it was…
The Marketing Description is generally copied by 1WorldSync from the websites of manufacturers. However, there are some instances when we have to modify original marketing text to ensure it fits 1WorldSync' customers' requirements.
The upper length limit for the Marketing Description is 8000 characters (with spaces).
Marketing Descriptions should not contain any links or references to the manufacturer website or any first-person-account references.
Marketing Descriptions should not contain any special characters like ®, ™, ©, etc.
Marketing Descriptions must be product specific. Very often the same marketing description is created by the manufacturer for the whole product line. Sometimes the product features (e.g. “hard drive up to 180 GB” or “Bluetooth adapter available on select models”) in the marketing text do not correspond to the given part number, which can potentially result in customer dissatisfaction and product returns.
It is also strongly recommended to avoid superlatives such as “latest,” “perfect,” etc. since marketing descriptions are not updated when newer products are released to the market. Thus the marketing description should be timeless.

How do I delete a SKU or all my SKUs from your system?
1WorldSync does not delete old SKUs from the system even after they are discontinued by the manufacturers. However, a Manufacturer can flag an SKU as "EOL" in 1WorldSync's content. For more information on this subject, please refer to the FAQ "I have discontinued a part number. Where do I tell you that?"
How do I change the category?
If you believe certain products are not assigned the right category, please provide us with the list of part numbers and indicate the category you would like to see these products in.
If your products were assigned to their current category by mistake, we will correct them and redistribute them to 1WorldSync' customers in the correct category. However, as categorization should be consistent for all manufacturers, some category-change requests might contradict to 1WorldSync' categorization rules and will be declined.

Does 1WorldSync offer Rich Content such as videos, 360 spin, showcases, inline etc.
Yes we do! 1WorldSync provides rich content syndication through its ContentCast™ platform which is a separate service from PartnerAccess. ContentCast™ utilizes the content assets that manufacturers already have such as rich imagery, video, interactive demos, 360 spins, hot spots, сomparison charts prepared by the manufacturer. This content is packaged for easy web distribution and consumption, then mapped to the product identifiers that partners use on their websites. For more information on ContentCast™, please contact our support.
Can I attach a list of weekly rebates to the data sheet you send to customers?
Currently 1WorldSync does not aggregate and disseminate rebates, discounts and promotions, as well as product pricing information through our PartnerAccess platform. However we plan to expand PartnerAccess scope to cover this information in the near future.

Why is my products content not showing up on a particular Channel Partners website?

For further information or assistance on this subject, please contact our support.

What is the difference between favorite SKUs and Tracked SKUs?

What is Premier Channel Partners? What are the benefits of this feature?
Premier Channel Partners are your most important Channel Partners you would like to release new product content to in advance of the rest of the Channel Partners. You may select who your Premier Channel Partners are by choosing from a list of 1WorldSync' customers and adding them to your Premier Channel Partners group and then configuring how many days in advance you would like to deliver to them a new product SKU content before your launch date.
What is a filter? Why would I want to use a filter?
The Market/Category filter in the PartnerAccess application will allow you to easily manage the markets and categories that you care about the most, showing the most relevant information. If you are looking after only several specific categories and one market, you may turn a personalized filter that will hide all the products not belonging to your target market and categories.
The Market/Category filter is user-specific: different users created for your account may have different filter settings.

General Information
What is "Structured Content" ?
Structured content converts non-standardized product information from multiple sources and turns it into consistent and normalized data across all products within any particular category. Product description, specifications, marketing text, and feature bullets are created based on 1WorldSync specified formulas and rules and thus the data you see on within the PartnerAccess portal or on a partners site, may look different than what the Manufacturer has available.
1WorldSync’s relationship with the Channel Partners
1WorldSync works with top tier Channel Partners by providing them with "structured" and "normalized" product content feeds which power the product pages of their website. The Channel Partners subscribe to 1WorldSync's patented data model, which takes product specifications and normalizes the data for consistency across all products within any particular category. Structured and consistent content assists the Channel Partners with the creation and navigation of their website. Product description, specs, marketing text and feature bullets are created based on 1WorldSync specified formulas and rules and as a result, the data you see in the PartnerAccess portal and thus on the partners site, may look different than what the Manufacturer has available.
Product Content Production Process
When 1WorldSync receives a content build request for an SKU from a Channel Partner or a Premium Manufacturer, we gather publicly available product content (primarily from the manufacturer's website) and combine it with content uploaded by the manufacturer through their PartnerAccess account (online portal). We then transform the content based on 1WorldSync's structured and normalized content data model and deliver it to the Channel Partners.
Product Content Production Process
1. Product Content Requests
When a Channel Partner activates a product for their website, it generates a request to 1WorldSync to create product content for the SKU in accordance with 1WorldSync's structured & normalized content data model. In addition, a PartnerAccess Premium Manufacturer also has the ability to upload a new SKU build request to 1WorldSync via Catalog -> Enrich Catalog in the PartnerAccess portal and we will build it in accordance with the structured & normalized data model.
2. Content Aggregation
1WorldSync uses the manufacturer's public website (and other manufacturer content repositories where available) as a source for product information collection. 1WorldSync will also combine that information with anything that has been uploaded into the PartnerAccess portal to build the normalized content.
3. Content Transformation
1WorldSync converts the non-standardized product information from multiple sources into consistent structured and normalized product content for consistency across all products in any particular category. Product description, specifications, marketing text, and feature bullets are created based on 1WorldSync's structured content formulas and rules. It should be also be mentioned that because of the structured content rules, we can very rarely use the manufacturer's preferred product description verbatim.
4. Content Validation
1WorldSync then validates we have all necessary information to build the particular SKU. Should 1WorldSync not have enough information to complete the build of an SKU, the SKU will go "On Hold" or "Not Available" until ALL required content is received. It is necessary that the Manufacturer check the PartnerAccess portal for their "On Hold" SKUs which can be located in the home page of the portal under "Production Statistics" and put their SKU(s) "Back into Production" by providing 1WorldSync with the necessary information we need to complete the SKU.
5. Content Delivery
1WorldSync delivers the structured content to the Channel Partner and generally within 3-5 days after 1WorldSync has delivered, the partners website reflects the new content.
